A video performance piece of pure whimsy. To break the seriousness of my job contract negotiations, I enlisted my successful boss and my usually buttoned-up lawyer to engage in a mano-a-mano spitball battle over my job contract (the paper “ammunition” representing such, a la, “tearing up the contract”). Witnessing two fully mature men regressing and breaking through their adult armor back into adolescence by sitting down at the table and spitting paper wads at each other on my behalf while teaching them a game activity normally reserved for class cut-ups (disruptive students) certainly cooled off any sweating over the fine print and legalese. For my purposes, the activity also served as commentary on whether human life and actions can ever really be captured in print or controlled by verbiage.
